lately

I've decided that "lately" is a great title for a post that contains pictures from two very unrelated themes. :)

Theme #1: Visitors

Last week, we had Nathan's sister, Liz, and her husband, Joshua, staying with us for the week.  Joshua and Nathan attended the Together for the Gospel conference in Louisville, an opportunity for guys (mostly pastors) to celebrate their unity in the good news of Christ and build relationships with other like-minded brothers.  They were gone much of the time, so that meant Liz and I got lots of fun girl time together.  It was such a blessing to spend extended time with them and build on our friendship.

Silas is a big fan of Aunt Liz, especially now that she's carrying his first cousin. :)

Theme #2: More Decorating

Is this getting boring yet?  I finally hung up two additions to Silas' room that he got for Christmas and love the way they turned out.  (Can you believe this is the first day since Christmas I've had time to do this??  Me neither.)

These wallpaper letters are from The Land of Nod, courtesy of Mimi and Papa.  Love them!

I just hung these with some hemp and some picture nails.  Easy peasy.

Also hung up this foreign parrot. (where is it from, Gjyshi & Gjysha?)  Looks great in Si's room!

I think these two pieces really add to the general ambiance. :)

Silas was obviously having a good time watching me work.
