- Sweet. From smiles to kisses to cuddles, this boy is very affectionate and loving toward people.
- Curious. Some of Silas' favorite things to watch and explore right now are doors, the dishwasher, and his toothbrush. He is fascinated with the coffee grinder and loves people's toes. Any toy that lights up or makes noise when you push buttons is a favorite.
- Observant. When in a new place or with new people, Silas watches. And watches and watches. It takes a long time for him to warm up enough to actually play or enjoy himself. And that brings us to...

If he bumps his head a little, or if another kid pulls his hair (which happens often), he crumbles in pitiful wails. This also makes discipline tricky. We hardly ever have to do more than say a stern "no" before his little lip puckers and the tears flow. Our prayer is that this sensitivity will eventually lead to a soft heart, sensitive to his sin and exposing his need for a Savior...

mister personality
I thought it might be fun to try to describe Silas' personality at this point in his young life. I've definitely found him to be quite unique, different than many of the more active, grabby, aggressive boys his age.

Thank you for this post and writing about your son's "sensitivity". Jerek is also a very sensitive and timid little boy. My prayer has always been that God would make him brave and courageous, like David, his favorite Bible character. Reading your prayer for your son has given me new insight and a different way to look at Jerek's personality. Thank you!
