So we had a fun weekend leading up to Easter Sunday! The seminary was having a Resurrection Celebration involving live music, an egg hunt, and free food (of course!). Here is a video of the kids enjoying the music. Sorry I got a little crazy with the camera; I think I lost my brain for a moment.
Cute shot of Ivy Sue.
Saturday we headed to Vint, the coffee shop where Nathan works, and had some face painting fun. This was Silas's first successful face paint; normally he smears it all over his face two seconds after it's done. He was proud of his "rabbit."
Ivy hated getting her face painted but I was a mean mama and held her head still so she could look cute like her brother. :) Totally worth it.
Guess what...I took zero pictures of the parade. Why? Because it honestly wasn't that interesting. And it was really long. But there was something else much more exciting...doggies everywhere! Picture Silas doing his freaky happy dance shown here and Ivy shrieking with delight for about 15 minutes straight. Sometimes I wonder what would happen at our house if we actually OWNED a dog.
Another first for Ivy: a sucker. She handled it like a pro. And Daddy got off work in time to watch the parade with us!
