little eden part I

We seriously had sooo much fun at Little Eden with my family last month. We think it was the best week of Silas's young life, judging by the fact that he was in a constant state of delight. Vacationing with your kids (especially in a place you grew up going to every year) is a whole new level of fun. And it was pretty nice to get some beach time and lots of game-playing! Not to mention the fact that no cooking was necessary. Sigh. Can we go back?

So this is what the inside of our cabin is like. They redid it since I was a kid; it used to be all one room that we shared with BATS and MICE. Brookside has come a long way.

Seriously. She is already a beach bum. My perfect vacay buddy.

The weather? Perfect. Crisp enough for a cardigan in the mornings and warm enough to sunbathe in the afternoons.

Ivy's Great-great Grandma Meredith babysat her during most meals so I could eat in peace. What a special time with her grandma.

Silas's first rock-painting experience.

Aunt Lyssy.

I told you he likes doors.

Love the way the sun plays off the leaves here...

I think this door was opened a thousand times by our crazy son.

Oopsie, Silas. Nice work.

More to come!
