Here are my methods for kids' clothes shopping:
1. eBay stalking- This is like garage sale-ing from your couch! I search by brand, because it's more reliable. Brands I try first: babyGap, Old Navy, Gymboree, Children's Place,
GenuineKids (Target), H&M (my personal fave), Boden, crewcuts.
2. Consignment Sales- Louisville has this amazing one twice a year called Little Treasures, where I go early and get all the cutest stuff before other smart moms do.
3. Clearance shopping- Sometimes I need something specific (like pants for Ivy) that is hard to find secondhand. Or when I have a rare spare moment in the mall I'll shop ahead on the clearance racks. It's amazing; you can find really cheap stuff even at nice stores if you're buying off-season.
My favorite wardrobe staple of Ivy's right now for the fall: JEGGINGS. They look hip like jeans but are comfy like sweatpants and you don't have to mess with a zipper and snap.
She has these in black and indigo, and they're only $5 right now! They are seriously the cutest baby pants ever.
If enough people are interested in getting little tips like this, let me know and I will try to do it more often!
