About a week and a half ago, I was musing as I donned my large red maternity coat. I looked down at my bump. "I think this coat hides my belly pretty well. I bet people can't even tell I'm pregnant unless they look really closely," I thought.
Nathan and I walked into Whole Foods to pick up some raspberry leaf tea. The first woman we passed took one look at me and started scolding, not me, but the red protrusion. "You better give your mama some sleep!" she quipped before giving me a knowing look.
We don't have a full-length mirror in our house.

Unbelievable. These people... :) And I have to say that I have been thinking the same thing when I wear my winter coats - I bet no one can even tell I'm pregnant. And the first thing people do when they see me? Stare straight at my "well concealed" belly... :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, very funny, Jess. :) Full length mirrors are overrated (but very helpful!).
