Nathan had the ornery idea of sending a fake email yesterday introducing Jefferson Kip to the world...(JK). We used newborn pics from our friends' baby, Jackson Zorger (with permission of course). We honestly thought the email was outlandish enough that people wouldn't believe it for long, but apparently we were a little too subtle...Some of our favorite reactions:
1. My Aunt Linda reading the email aloud to the whole family with pride.
2. Nathan's sister, Liz, leaving very sweet (and lengthy!) voice mails for both of us to offer her congratulations and well wishes to little "Jeff".
3. My mother screaming several times in her office this morning, causing the Facilities Manager to come running to ask what was the matter.
Thanks to all of you for being such good sports! Gotcha! :)
I had my last appointment today. They just wanted to check and make sure everything looks okay for the induction on Monday. Nothing has changed, still 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Sigh.

Nice joke! Don't get too discouraged about only being 2 cm dilated, it is better then nothing! I was 3 for two weeks. . . and then boom, we had a baby! He's coming, in God's perfect time!
ReplyDeletelol that is a great joke...looking forward to seeing the new little one. I bet ya'll are too!! Good luck on Monday and hopefully by the evening you'll have him!!
ReplyDeleteWell, it is Monday, 8:15, I would hope that no news would be good news and that you are coming home rather then preparing for an induction. But just in case:
ReplyDeleteFather God, I thank you for this new little life you are preparing to enter our world. I ask that you would be with Jessica and Nathan and that you could give them peace and comfort in this anxious time. Prepare Jessica's body and prepare Nathan's nerves! I ask that the induction would go smoothly, that Jessica's pain levels would be managable, that little baby would not go into distress and that labor and delivery would be an incredible, beautiful, and joyful experience for everyone. Help it to go quickly and safely, without complication. We ask that you would not only prepare Jessica and Nathan physically for this life changing experience, but also emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I ask that this little boy would be an incredible testament to others about Your awesome and gracious love for us and that his birth, growth, and life would be a testament and witness for You.
I ask all of this in Jesus precious name
AMEN!!
I'm going to make a safe bet in saying that you have had the baby already!! For your sake I hope so!! Hope all went well and you guys are adjusting to the new baby in your life. What a blessing!!! Congrats!!
