the new, temporary normal.

We are finally feeling somewhat "settled" here in Indy. A sweet couple from Castleview has graciously opened their home to us for 5 weeks while we close on our house. Dan and Darlene have 3 grown children and live in a beautiful home on the lake. Their house has been turned upside down with two little toddlers, and they have taken it all in stride! The kids LOVE them and feel super comfortable here by this point. It took us the first week to stabilize and find our groove, but now I think they feel like this is home.

We have been blown away by the Lord's kindness to use during this transition. Our house inspection revealed that the house needed a new roof, no small expense. But before we even had time to worry about it, the sellers agreed to pay for the new roof in full after we gain possession of the house. It seems that everything will be smooth sailing from here on out, and Lord willing we will close on the house June 14. Then it will be time to paint, paint, paint! We would love to move in by June 23, but maybe that's a little ambitious...we'll see. :)

It has been great fun for us to get to know some of the families at Castleview. Our schedule has been pretty full, which is the way we like it! We look forward to building relationships with these sweet people and being folded into the church family. Nathan has enjoyed his job so far...he started off with a bang doing VBS already this week! He is just taking time to get to know people and figure things out at this point.

We're so thankful for the Lord's provision!
