kind blessings.

Okay, so I do have a really good reason for being absent so long. :) Nathan has been candidating at Castleview Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN to be the Associate Pastor of Family Ministry and Discipleship. We have made several trips up there for Q&A's, house hunting, etc. and are so thrilled that the congregation voted to call Nathan last Sunday.

Castleview is a church committed to the gospel of Christ, expositional preaching, and life-on-life discipleship. We are excited about what the Lord is doing there through the power of his Word and look forward to being folded into the family. It is wonderful to think that Nathan will finally get to do what he loves, what he has been training for these past 5 years of our marriage--shepherd a flock of believers.

Of course, we are sad to leave our beloved congregation at Third Avenue Baptist Church here in Louisville. We have built some wonderful friendships here, and it is really the only place our kids know as "home."

We will move into temporary housing in Indy this coming Saturday, May 19. We are in the process of closing on a house, located only a mile from the church! It is a lovely 4-bedroom house with lots of windows for optimal sunlight and a YARD. We will hardly know what to do will all the space after being in our 830 sq. ft apartment for the last 3 years.

Looking back on our 5 years of marriage, we are blown away by the gracious kindness of the Lord. Our time in DC at Capitol Hill Baptist was incredibly formative. The last 3 years of seminary have been a sweet blessing, not the hardship that so many students face. My job at the CCCU allowing me to work from home and put Nathan through school was an unexpected kindness. And now the position at Castleview which basically fell into our laps, without us needing to put our resume out anywhere else. The Lord has truly been GOOD to us, giving us so many things we don't deserve. We are thankful for these things, but even more thankful for the blessings we have received in Christ! Praise God that he rescues sinners like us out of darkness and into his marvelous light!
