sweet sweet new friends

This past Sunday, Nathan had the privilege of preaching at Castleview Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The pastor and his wife kindly asked us to spend the whole weekend with them.  I had never met them (Nathan had), so the thought of spending 48 hours straight with a family of strangers was a little intimidating.  But I was relieved to find out that the pastor of Castleview just so happens to have a pretty cool family.  After one evening, I felt like I had been friends with his wife for years.  What a blessing it is to meet new friends who share a love for Christ and for his Word that draws you together like nothing else can.  They certainly went above and beyond in the area of hospitality...cooking yummy meals, taking us downtown, making tea, all five of them sharing a bathroom so we could have our own...it was truly a taste of heaven.

And their three boys were so sweet with Silas.  They read to him, practiced walking with him, were delighted to share their toys, and even built a fort just his size!
