baby steps

Silas hasn't made much progress in the walking area.  If anything, he's become more cautious and unwilling to walk than he was at his first attempt.

It's hard not to be frustrated with him, to be honest.  We were so excited when he took his first steps and had visions of him toodling around the house within the week.

Michelle says this is normal, especially for a kid learning to walk so late.  Because he's older, he's smarter.  He doesn't want to fall down; he wants to stay in control and do it right.

We are working with him like crazy, doing one-handed walking all over the place and coaxing him with his favorite books.

Pray that we would have patience and continue to trust in the Lord.  It is so easy to be discontent, isn't it?
