So here I am, blogging in my PJs while Silas plays in his jumparoo and Nathan studies with his classical music. A typical morning in the Lugbill home. (Am I always this lazy? Well...yes. I mean, I'm productive, I just don't get dressed until after lunch. Would like to change that, though. Hmm...)
I know you all are past due for some pictures, so here you go...
We had our sweet new friends, Rob & Larissa, along with their two CUTIES, Kaurah and Owen, over for dinner a couple weeks ago and had so much fun. I was kind of nervous, because we've never tried having people over who have mobile children in our teeny space, but it worked great! Their kids were so well-behaved and loved all of Silas' toys. Nathan has lots of classes with Rob, and they also just joined our church, so we're really excited to get to know them better. And look how well Silas is sharing with Owen! :)
Si loves sucking on his toes these days...
Two weekends ago, my sister Alyssa came to visit us for her J-term break. We had so much fun playing games, eating (lots!), watching old episodes of LOST in preparation for the season premiere, shopping, and going to the zoo (as seen below).
Silas liked the birds almost as much as the fish.
They had this little rainforest-type room where the birds were just running (flying?) wild, and it was a little bit scary, actually! Two of these huge birds were just hanging out on the walkway, a little too close for comfort in my opinion. And just when we had safely gotten past them, another large bird swooped down over our heads, and we all had to duck to prevent our precious eyeballs from being pecked out!!! (Okay, maybe I'm being slightly dramatic...)
Who knows what kind of bacteria was on this feather, but yes, I let Silas feel it. I am such a great mom...
We loved watching these penguins!
Just some cute shots for your enjoyment...
And lastly, check out our new space for Silas' toys. Christmas is making us a little bit cramped. :) Go easy on us for Silas' birthday, Grandparents! We don't have much room left!
