sprucin' up the bathroom...thanks, santa!

Well, we're used to having tiny bathrooms, but this one is unique. The shower and toilet are in a little room, and the sink/vanity is in the hallway. I kind of like it that way...sort of hotel-esque, nice when we have guests especially.

So when we moved here, I decided to go with a black & white theme. Here is our fishy shower curtain from Urban Outfitters. (Side note: I now buy all my curtains from UO. Love them.)

No, I don't have a standing tub and sweet hardwood floors. That is the picture from their online store, since I couldn't get a good shot of our curtain in our teeny bathroom. :)

Here is my "art" (framed fabric from IKEA) that I put right outside the door, next to the vanity.

And I got some money for Christmas (yay!) with which I bought this little picnic basket from Hobby Lobby for $3.50, which I put on the back of the toilet. The red accent makes the black & white thing a little less blah and highlights our little fishy friend on the curtain. Hoping to eventually change the Febreeze to a more attractive spray bottle from Bath & Body Works. It's amazing how much this little basket makes a difference!

Just outside the bathroom, my dear husband just hung these wall cubes I got for Christmas (thanks, Mom!). I decorated them with glassware from Hobby Lobby ($5 each) and a decorative ball (also HL, $6). Filling the glassware with Q-tips and cotton balls not only goes with my black & white theme, but it's also functional! Got that idea from a friend's bathroom (thanks, Abigail!)

Just a few ways to spruce up a teeny bathroom/hallway. :) Hope you enjoy!

  1. Hey Jessica, I like these pratical cubes! I'm glad you mentioned the pic of the shower curtain being from their ol store because I was thinking, "Did they have a footed b tub that I somehow missed?" At least I'm not cracking up!
