Last friday, the seminary put on a huge "Fall Festival" for all students and their families. We went without really knowing what to expect, but it was AMAZING. Blow-up games, jousting, extreme biking (is that what you call it when people do tricks riding bikes up ramps and jumping cars?), free burgers and frozen chocolate-covered bananas (surprisingly yummy), and an incredible fireworks display for the grand finale. It was too bad that Silas wasn't quite old enough to enjoy it more, but we're already excited for next year.
Saturday and Sunday, my parents (Mimi & Papa), grandparents, and sister, Cassie, came to visit. We had so much fun with them! Saturday we went to a great Mexican place, El Mundo, for lunch, played a bean-planting card game at our new favorite coffee place, and watched the OSU/USC game while chowing on pizza and ice cream. Sunday we went to church together at Immanuel Baptist (really loved it, only complicating our decision) and had homemade gnocchi for lunch!
We are still struggling with choosing a church, so please continue to pray for us...We hope to make our decision next week.
Playing with Mommy.
Watching the fireworks. On the 4th, Silas just slept through them, but this time he was sooo into it! He kind of jumped from the first few kabooms, but then...
...his face was just like this the whole time. :)
Papa & Silas- Sadly, the only picture I took with my family!
