Crazy to think that this little man has been around for a whole year. On the other hand, it is hard to remember life without him. To celebrate on the big day we invited two couples, close friends who just so happen to have babies very close to Duncan's age.
Here we have the Wrights. Kelly is also a pastor at Castleview, and his wife Vanessa has become a close friend of mine. Their daughter, Emma, is only about 3 weeks younger than Duncan, and she is a DOLL. Seriously...I can't even handle the cuteness. They also have another one on the way! Yay, Team Wright! More adorable babies for me to love!
See? Already making eyes at each other.
And here we have the Gordons. DOCTOR (ahem) Tony Gordon and his lovely wife Holly...and their cutie pie, Gray. We have loved getting to know them over the past year!
Quite the party.
Of course, to keep tradition, the Lazy Woman's Chocolate Cake was served. Delicious as always. Duncan agreed.
But he did remember his manners and was generously sharing with his buddy.
Duncan sure is active, but also incredibly happy and social. We always get comments about his big eyes and his great smile. He rarely cries but has a really piercing scream when he does cry! Sleeps 11 hours at night and 4ish during the day. An early riser, up at 6:30 most mornings. Loves to carry around small objects and play with grown-up things...like the time he covered himself in cajun seasoning from my lazy Susan. When we forget to shut the door to the bathroom, he is throwing toys in the toilet within five minutes. His siblings love him and laugh hysterically at his antics. Duncan loves pointing at everything but doesn't say many words yet...Mama and uh-oh are really the only consistent and clear ones. He signs "all done," "more," and "please." Love this guy!!!
