sigh. i'm a cheeseball.

I'm just gonna say it. I'm a sucker for the holidays. The music, the lights, the warm fuzzies...I love it all. Maybe that's why I rushed it a bit and put our decorations up the week before Thanksgiving. In honor of our new house with 9-foot ceilings, we decided to upgrade our tree from this to this:

To continue the fun tradition we started last year, we celebrated by donning Christmas PJs and watching a Christmas movie, while drinking Italian hot chocolate. This year's movie was the classic Rudolph with the abominable snowman...who I think might resemble a certain professor at Southern. Anyone agree, Louisvillians? The movie was a huge hit. Even Ivy stayed still for most of it. And the hot chocolate got real popular when I finally had the bright idea of busting out straws. It's much easier to sip hot liquid through a straw, apparently. It's pretty awesome that our kids are finally at an age where they appreciate stuff like this. Many more fun memories ahead, I am sure...
