Materials:

• pumpkins
• washable tempera paint
• painters' tape
• paintbrushes
• paper plates
• wax paper

1. Use strips of painters tape on wax paper to make a "drawing board" for your stencil.
2. Draw a block letter on the painters' tape.
3. Cut out the letter.
4. Peel the tape off the wax paper and put the tape stencil on your pumpkin.
5. Put different colors of paint onto the paper plate, give your kid a paintbrush, and let them go to town. Make sure they paint over the stencil really well.
6. Let the paint dry.
7. Peel the stencil off, and voila! A cool stenciled pumpkin. :)
