visitors.

Our very first visitors at the hospital were Silas, Ivy, and Aunt Lyssy. Silas had been very excited about the baby's arrival and knew his name. This was pretty funny, because for the last month or so he has totally been talking to everyone about "Baby Duncan," but since he can't say the "K" sound it was really hard to understand. Gjysha thought her grandson's name would be Dustin, and Aunt Lyssy's best guesses were Dalton and Dawson. Close, but no cigar, folks!

Silas was very nervous about holding Duncan. Not exactly a natural with newborn babies. :)

Ivy wasn't sure what she thought about her new brother. We would ask her to touch his foot and she would but then would draw her hand back like it had been stung and, with furrowed brow, exclaim, "No!" It was pretty entertaining.

This video pretty much sums it up.

Aunt Lyssy with her newest nephew.

Eric, Danelle, and their three boys were our next visitors the day of Duncan's birth. (Eric is the senior pastor at Castleview.) It was really special to have them there, sure to be one of many monumental occasions to come as we "do life" together here.

Eric kindly bought us Starbucks in the lobby, and got me two drinks since I couldn't make up my mind. Ha!  (Let's talk about this hospital for a minute...totally unlike the first two hospitals I delivered at! Gorgeous lobby with a grand piano and a huge Starbucks, modern rooms with a spouse quarters. The spouse quarters have a separate TV, microwave, and a mini fridge, as well as a couch that converts to a bed. There is a curtain separating it from the mother's room, which is great for nighttime when nurses are always in and out. We didn't want to leave! :) )

My parents and Aunt Cassie took a day trip to come down and meet Duncan.

I laughed when I saw Dad's expression here, because it looks like he's saying "Ew" or something, but Alyssa told me that is Dad's face for when something is cute. I'll let you be the judge. :)

Rick, Trish, and their three boys also visited us that first night. Rick is also an associate pastor at Castleview. These boys were so cute with Duncan and so natural holding such a tiny baby! This is Landon.

And here's Campbell...

And here's Trish. Such a beautiful lady, and becoming a fast friend for me!

Our final visitors of the evening were Uncle Justin and Aunt Sara. I always say, they look good with a baby!

On day two, Gjyshi and Gjysha made the trip down to Indy.

Ivy and Silas came to visit again, too. This was Ivy's expression the whole time. Ha!

I can't really blame her, she just wanted to see Mommy and didn't like it that I was holding a baby whenever she walked in!
