a new do

Let's talk about our little baldy.  She started out with lots o' dark hair.  Then her hairline began receding.  Then the baldness crept around above her ears and behind her head, leaving only a prominent "tuft" of wild curls at the crown of her head.  See exhibit A.

Yes, I have tried combing it down.  Tape, rubber cement, hot glue...nothing works.  (That's a joke for those of you about to call CPS.)   Here's a view from the back.  Equally weird.

So call me crazy, but I gave my 12-week old a haircut.  (Yes, Silas is getting into some hazardous cleaning materials in the background.  Probably about to spray Lysol into his mouth.  Now you can call.)

Seriously though, doesn't she look much less crazy now, albeit a little more boyish?

I couldn't bear to cut the long silky hair in the very back, so now we have a slight mullet.  Let's hope it grows back a little more evenly. :)

  1. I don't know if I'm just incredibly tired or what, but I was laughing so hard I was crying at this post. Probably because I can relate to the entire thing. Rylee is also slowing going bald except for these random long pieces of hair that just keep growing. I just told Adam yesterday I wanted to give her a haircut, but he forbade me from touching her head with a scissors :) And Asher is always doing something hazardous... I've just given up.
