on the road...

We are in Louisville right now, staying at Southern Seminary to look for housing in the area and check out the city. We found some beautiful apartments for a good price very close to the school. I am so excited to move out of our cramped, not-so-cute apartment into a place with a dining room, new carpet, a community pool, and a room for Silas!!! The only down side is that there are no laundry hookups, only a laundry facility on the property. Please pray that they would have a vacancy for July and that we would be accepted as tenants with no problem. Nathan will be applying at several Starbucks stores in the area tomorrow; please pray that he would find favor with a manager at one of them!

Silas did very well on the trip. It was sloooow going, though, because we had to stop for feedings. Every time he would drink about an ounce out of a bottle from his car seat, and then we would stop for me to nurse him to fill him up the rest of the way. The trip took about 12 hours altogether. He slept the whole way basically (the car lulls him to sleep), and I was worried he wouldn't sleep at all that night...BUT HE DID.

Silas has slept THROUGH THE NIGHT for the past 4 nights!!! I am feeding him at 10:30, putting him to bed, and then feeding him at 7:00! It is wonderful to get almost 8 hours of sleep at night again, and we are praising the Lord for this wonderful child who sleeps through the night before his 6-week birthday.

No time to post pictures right now, but I promise to post some good ones after we go to Ohio this weekend. My sister, Alyssa, is graduating from high school, and my sister-in-law, Sara, is graduating from college. We are thankful to be able to go back to Ohio for these special events!
