We are having a wonderful time with Nathan's parents and grandpa in Siesta Key, FL! Sadly, the weather has been less than cooperative...only in the 60s. (I know, that's still warmer than Indiana! But not warm enough for the beach, unfortunately.) We have been spending lots of time in the condo hanging out and playing games, and also going out to eat of course.
We went to see some talking parrots at a gift shop last week.
Ivy really loves her Gjysha!
We also went to Mote Aquarium one day. These sea lions were trained to pose for pictures, but our kids were scared out of their minds, so we didn't get our $10 picture after all. :)
We also went on a boat ride at the aquarium, where we saw some really cool wildlife, including these white pelicans.
Silas has been doing lots of vacation reading. :)
And Duncan has been spending his time doing push-ups. He really wants to look good in those swim trunks.
Yesterday we did finally get a sunny day! It was the perfect weather for the beach. The beaches at Siesta Key are some of the best, rated #2 in the US and #5 in the world. The kids had SO much fun. They stayed out all day, until Ivy needed her nap around 3. Duncan even slept in a pack 'n play under the cabana.
Silas relaxing with Gjyshi.
