These adorable cookie cutters can be found at Target in the holiday section.
And these adorable cookie decorators can be found at our house. :)
Plastic IKEA knives were great for this. (Thanks, Trish!) Also, taping
freezer paper to the table helped with cleanup. We used all kinds of
sprinkles, as well as chocolate chips and red M&Ms. Tasting while
decorating was highly encouraged.
Cut-Out Cookies

2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 cup flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add sour cream and mix. Set aside.
In small bowl mix soda, baking powder and 1 cup flour. Add to above and mix.
Add 5 cups of flour. Put on floured board and knead or knead in bowl.
Roll out to ½ inch thick. (You may need to add quite a bit more flour so that it
isn’t sticky.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes. They should not be brown.
Frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbl. Butter
Milk (a little)
Can add vanillaFood coloring
*Note: Frosting will be soupy, not stiff. When it dries it is sort of like a thick glaze. Yum.
