a new tradition

I'm trying to start some fun traditions for our family now that Silas is getting (almost) old enough to appreciate them. Saturday marked our first annual "Christmas kickoff." We had waffles for breakfast and put up all our Christmas decorations (which doesn't take very long at this point haha) to start the day. After dinner, we all got on our Christmas PJs, and I made some Italian Hot Chocolate with homemade whipped cream. Silas's was more just chocolate, not so much hot. :) As we sipped, we watched a Christmas movie together, which this year constituted of Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, a home run with Silas. Ivy didn't make it and had to go to bed about 15 minutes in. Maybe next year. :)

    We just rented Christmas Eve on Sesame Street from the library and watched it on the plane yesterday- small world. It was a hit with Jack and Cullen also!
