a strange love affair

Honestly, this is Silas' favorite toy in our whole house.  If you get bored waiting for him to show up, skip to 35 seconds.

As you might be able to hear in the background, Si was even playing with some pretty loud, new toys (a Fisher Price standing table I found at a consignment sale and a ball ramp our therapist lent him).  He managed to hear the dishwasher noises OVER his toys' music- a highly trained ear!

After playing, he likes to help me push the door shut, but then he usually has to cry a little that his favorite game is over.  Sometimes he mistakenly thinks the dishwasher is open, crawls in with a huge smile, and then erupts with tears when he finds that I was only making dinner or something.

Does anyone else's toddler do this?  Haha...

  1. Yup, definitely Caro. She would be content if I put her IN the dishwasher with all the stuff and closed the door. Definitely have had some temper tantrums over not being allowed to sit on the opened door or remove dirty silverware. Probably a little confusing for her though because I do try to harness her curiosity by getting her to put the clean silverware in the drawer.

  2. We definitely like the dishwasher here, too. Addison tries to take the stuff out though (dirty or clean) and make a dash for it! She loves helping give me the silverware to put away when it is clean!
